Mark is a highly experienced international banker having previously held senior roles with HSBC in Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, India and Bahrain.

Prior to taking up his current role with ANZ PNG in August 2012, Mark had overall responsibility for ANZ’s Corporate Banking activities in Queensland, covering private and public companies, with a particular focus on services to the Natural Resources sector.

Mark brings with him a deep experience across a wide range of banking activities including Corporate and Institutional Banking, Commercial and SME, and Retail Banking, as well as key product lines including International Trade Services, Payments and Cash Management and Operations.

The Hon Scott Morrison MP was sworn in as the 30th Prime Minister of Australia on 24 August 2018.  Since entering Federal politics as the Member for Cook in New South Wales Mr Morrison has held a number of parliamentary positions.  Immediately before becoming Prime Minister he was Treasurer from September 2015 to August 2018.  Previously had been Minister for Immigration and Border Protection, and Minister for Social Services.

Hon James Marape MP was sworn in as the 8th Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea on 30 May 2019. Since 1 October 2020 he has been concurrently Minister for Bougainville Affairs. Since entering politics as the Member for Tari in the 2007 national elections he has held various ministerial portfolios including as Minister for Education (2008 to 2011) and Minister for Finance (2017 to 2019). He holds a Bachelor of Arts, a Post Graduate Honours Degree in Environmental Science and a Masters Degree in Business Administration all from the University of Papua New Guinea.

Nuni Kulu is General Manager Digital. Her appointment in January 2019 makes her the second female to be appointed to the Executive of BSPFGL. Nuni joined the former PNG Banking Corporate (PNGBC) as a graduate and has undertaken numerous roles in Treasury and Retail Banking during the course of her career. Over her 25-year career with BSP, she has benefited from leadership and management training at Melbourne Business School and Insead Private University in France. Nuni hails from Manus Province and holds a Bachelor of Commerce attained at the Australian National University with many years of experience with PNGBC/BSP. She is currently the President of the Business Council of PNG.

Never shying away from a challenge, I have accumulated a wealth of skill, knowledge and experience over 15 years in all sectors of corporate management, from Accounting to Audit, Corporate Affairs to Operations, Product Development, Sales & Marketing, Debt Collections, and Executive Management. I have mastered financial modeling, Credit management and Recoveries from years in the Banking sector. I manage relationships with the government, state owned enterprises, statutory authorities, foreign missions, regulators, suppliers and customers.
An entrepreneur, strategic thinker, and problem solver, I am committed to adding value and blazing new trails in all I attempt. I am presently involved in the economic development sector and seek through innovation and proactive strategic action, to make a real impact.
As a team player, I bring energy and drive to the Boards, Committees and any teams that I belong to. Never a free rider, I am able to lead from the front and motivate my team to work together to achieve our targets on time and on budget.

Mr Ruel Yamuna is the former Managing Director for the PNG Climate Change & Development Authority and until recently was redeployed and appointed as the Special Envoy for Climate and Environment. Mr Yamuna is currently serving as the Technical Chair of the Coalition for Rainforest Nations (CfRN) (2019 – 2022) within the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and also has been a member of the State Climate Negotiation Team since 2012.

Mr Yamuna worked with the PNG Climate Change Development Authority as Managing Director for 5 years (2016 – 2021) and before that a lawyer with the Department of Justice and Attorney General (2011 – 2016). In this role and as a member of the State Negotiation Team, the highlight of his career is the provision of legal advice on the draft Paris Agreement text on forests, which led to the successful inclusion of article 5 that was adopted in the final text of the historic 2015 Paris Climate Agreement (COP 21). Mr Yamuna was also involved in the negotiations last year in Glasgow which saw the finalization of the Paris Rulebook around article 6 on carbon markets.

Mr Yamuna´s contributions to Papua New Guinea during an intensive and successful five-year contract term (2016-2021) includes the community, provincial, national and international levels. With particular focus on building capacity, partnerships and networks to implement the REDD+ programme, Mitigation and Adaptation projects and activities through a revised National Determined Contribution document submitted in 2020 and supported by amendments done to the Climate Change (Management) Act 2015.

Additionally, in his tenure policy dialogue and consensus for central government where significantly strengthened to enable climate change main streamed across national departments and institutions in the areas of land use, forestry, agriculture, conservation and climate change.

Mr Yamuna´s contributions also included strong elements of education and awareness raising, from grassroots to global audiences (COP 22 to COP 25), by facilitation of results communications – including media, UN, USAID, GGGI and UNDP-wide platforms for knowledge sharing and news contribution.

With a diverse range of experience in international climate law and policy, Mr Yamuna has vast expertise on the technical aspects of international climate change negotiations, carbon markets and climate finance amongst other areas.

Mr Yamuna holds a Bachelors in Law and Bachelors in Business Management (Public Policy) including a Masters in Economics and Public Policy, all from the University of Papua New Guinea.

Murray Woo is a Foundation Director of Manufacture’s Council of Papua New Guinea with over 36 years of manufacturing experience in Papua New Guinea. He has held various directorships including with Nasfund Superannuation Limited, NCSL Savings and Loans Society Limited, Chairman of PNG Air Limited, Chairman of City Centre Development Limited and Board Member and Chairman of Infrastructure and Investment at PNG Ports. Currently, Murray is also the Chairman of Port Moresby Nature Park limited, Vice President of Employer’s Federation Inc. and Board Member of Mainland Holdings Limited.

Murray was awarded the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2019 for his services to Manufacturing, Airline Industry, and the National Superannuation Fund in Papua New Guinea.

Murray has an MBA majoring in Finance from the Australian Institute of Business and is a professional member of the Australian Institute of Company’s Directors and Papua New Guinea’s Institute of Directors and a foundation member of the Badili Club.

Ango Wangatau has over 40 years’ experience and knowledge in the Business and Accounting profession in Papua New Guinea. Graduating from the Papua New Guinea University of Technology in 1978, with a Bachelor of Technology in Accountancy, Mr Wangatau first gained his experience as a senior assistant auditor with Price Waterhouse & Co, PNG, in the late 70s.
From here, Mr Wangatau entered the Public Sector as he took up the position of Secretary to the Ombudsman Commission of Papua New Guinea and was subsequently appointed as a Member of the Ombudsman Commission of Papua New Guinea in 1986. This role allowed Mr Wangatau to gain in-depth experience in the public sector, by assisting with overseeing and ensuring compliance was met with all relevant Government processes and procedures. He held this position until 1992.
Mr Wangatau then returned back to the private sector, working as a Principal Partner with Ram Business Consultants from 1992 until 2002. This role saw Mr Wangatau in charge of professional assignments in both the private and public sectors. These assignments included investigations, accounting, audits, taxation and other consultancy assignments.
Having achieved success in both the business and accounting professions, Mr Wangatau started his own company in 2002, Professional Link; where he is the Principal Managing Partner and Director, in charge of professional assignments in both the private and public sectors. These assignments include investigation, audits, tax assignments and business services. Mr Wangatau still holds this position to date. Along with his role with Professional Link, Mr Wangatau owns and operates two prawn trawlers fishing in the Gulf of Papua, as well as hotels and property investments under Sengus Investments Limited.
Throughout his career, Mr Wangatau contributed his services to several organisations, holding positions as: former Advisory Board member of the PNG Immigration & Citizenship Services Authority, former Director of Air Niugini Limited, the former Chairman of the PNG Land Board, former board member of Finance Corporation Limited, former Chairman of PNG Electricity Commission, former Chairman of the Hotel Mendi Pty Ltd, former President of the Certified Practicing Accountants (CPA) PNG, as well as the former National Chairman and Council Member of Red Cross Society. Most recently Mr Wangatau was appointed in 2019 as Chairman of the National Fisheries Authority Board.
As a result of his services to the Accountancy Profession, Mr Wangatau was awarded the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, OBE, in 1999.
Mr Wangatau is currently a Fellow member of the Certified Practicing Accountants PNG, a Certified Zig Ziglar Trainer, a Registered Public Accountant, Registered Auditor, Registered Tax Agent, and a Commissioner for Oaths in PNG.

Dr Manu Tupou-Roosen is the first woman to be appointed the Director General of the Pacific Islands Forum Fisheries Agency (FFA). She was appointed unanimously by the Fisheries Ministers at the conclusion of the 15th Forum Fisheries Committee Ministerial meeting in Cook Islands in 2018.

Dr Tupou-Roosen has researched and worked in fisheries for over 20 years, including over a decade as the FFA Legal Counsel.

She gained a Masters of Law in 1997 under a New Zealand scholarship, focusing on international fisheries and achieved First Class Honours. She was also awarded a PhD in Law in 2004 under a Commonwealth Scholarship, with a focus on international and regional fisheries compliance.

Hon. Dadi Toka, MBE is the Chairman of the Motu Koita Assembly and Deputy Governor for the National Capital District.
Dadi has over 15 years of experience in the corporate, NGO and public sector in Papua New Guinea.
In 2007 Dadi with a small group of shareholders established the Tura sporting brand. Tura brand has grown into a household name supplying and sponsoring international and local sporting groups.
In 2011, Dadi was appointed Chairman of the Port Moresby General Hospital Board.
In 2012 Dadi was appointed Chief of Staff to the Opposition Office at Parliament House of Papua New Guinea.
In 2014 he went on to establish the Papua New Guinea Cancer Foundation Inc. and served as the Chief Executive Officer for four 4 years.
In 2018 Dadi was voted by the indigenous Motu Koita people of Port Moresby in the National Capital District to serve them as Chairman of the Motu Koita Assembly. 
In 2020, Dadi was recognized by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth for his contribution in the community and volunteer work especially his efforts towards Cancer prevention in Papua New Guinea. Dadi was presented with a Member of the British Empire Award (Dadi holds a Bachelor of Business Degree majoring in Management Marketing from Queensland University of Technology.
Dadi’s enterprising skills and credible background has attracted and secured donor funding from the Australian Government ( USAID, New Zealand Government and other corporate and multi national companies to support many large and small scale community projects.
Dadi is passionate and committed to serving the indigenous people of Port Moresby. He is focused on empowering his people and ensuring an effective sustainable future for his electorate.

Mr. Wapu Sonk was appointed Managing Director of Kumul Petroleum Holdings Limited, the National Petroleum Company of PNG in January 2013.
He has more than 20 years of experience in the PNG petroleum industry.
After starting his career with Chevron Niugini in 1997, Mr. Sonk has occupied numerous technical, management and leadership roles in petroleum industry companies operating in Papua New Guinea.
Mr. Sonk is a member of the International Association of Drilling Contractors, the International Society of Petroleum Engineers and the Institute of Engineers, PNG. He holds a Bachelor of Mining Engineering from the University of Technology in Lae as well as a Diploma of Business Management from the Melbourne Business School, Mt Eliza Centre for Executive Education, Melbourne.

Anthony Smaré is the President of the PNG Chamber of Mines and Petroleum for a second term, the first independent non-affiliated person to hold this position. He has a Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Applied Science (Geology) from the Queensland University of Technology, has studied various aspects of leadership, sustainability, investment, technology and public policy at Harvard University, Princeton University, Stanford University, Oxford University and recently Cambridge University and he is a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is a former partner of Allens Arthur Robinson lawyers specialising in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and natural resources law, practicing in Papua New Guinea and Australia.
He is the Chairman of the Board of Paradise Foods Limited and was a former long-standing Chairman of Nambawan Super, PNG’s largest superannuation fund. Mr Smaré is also Chairman of the Kumul Foundation Inc and founder of the Kumul GameChangers Entrepreneurship Initiative. In 2014, the World Economic Forum appointed Mr Smaré a member of its Forum of Young Global Leaders for a term of 6 years and was a member of their advisory group. He is currently pursuing a variety of interests in venture capital investment, climate resilience and adaption, and entrepreneurship ecosystem building.

Nihal is a dual British/Australian national with extensive experience in international business leadership roles in multiple jurisdictions including the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Australia & Papua New Guinea.
With a legal background during his early career, Nihal is Chairman of Pacific Foam Group - a diversified manufacturing and distribution business established in PNG since 1978. With his early years spent in Kenya and in the UK, Nihal has held a variety of senior leadership positions during his career with a four-generations diversified family enterprise operating across some 20 jurisdictions. Consequently, he brings with him a wealth of experience in commerce, business, law, corporate governance and multi-national organisational dynamics.
Nihal has a keen interest in best practise in corporate governance and is a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD). He serves as a councillor on the AICD’s Victorian Division Council. Nihal also holds Board/Committee positions on the Manufacturers Council of PNG and the Australia PNG Business Council, and previously on the PNG-Europe Business Council.
In his spare time Nihal is an avid golfer, squash player and trail walker.

Kishti is an accomplished Senior Economist providing best-in-class decision making support. As the Pacific Economist for ANZ Banking Group, Kishti provides expert economic commentary and insights on what is going on across the region and helps businesses understand what it means for them. Before joining ANZ, Kishti was the Senior Australian Economist for BIS Oxford Economics in Sydney and a Senior Economist and Economist at the Reserve Bank of Fiji.

Kishti is an economist, adviser and forecaster with a passion for improving the standard of living of Pacific people.

At present, Kishti is the Pacific Economist at Australia and New Zealand Banking Group where he leads ANZ’s macro-research capabilities for Papua New Guinea and the Pacific islands. He publishes economic outlook reports for the Pacific, by country, which presents the latest 18 month forecasts and a discussion of the important issues influencing the economy including employment, government finances and exchange rates. In addition, Kishti writes thought articles on how the Pacific can realise its enormous economic potential.

Prior to joining ANZ in February of 2018, Kishti was the Senior Australia Economist at BIS Oxford Economics - the largest independent economics research house worldwide - for a decade. As the senior economist, Kishti analysed a wide variety of Australian macroeconomic data, produced forecasts, contributed to the company's highly regarded economic forecasting reports and provided macroeconomic consultancy services to clients across a range of industry sectors. Before then, Kishti was a Senior Economist at the Reserve Bank of Fiji where he built and managed the Bank's research and analytical work programme. In addition, he was a member of high profile policy and forecasting committees including the Macro Policy Committee — the think tank for fiscal policy — and the Monetary Policy Committee which advised the Governor directly on interest-rate settings.

Born and raised in Fiji, Kishti has close to 25 years of experience in the public and the private sectors. He holds a PhD in economics from the University  of Sydney.

Markus Scheuermaier has been IFC's Resident Representative for Papua New Guinea since May 2021.

In his role, he coordinates the implementation of IFC’s activities, leads the delivery of investment and advisory services, and maintains relationships with the Government, donor organizations and private sector clients.

Markus joined IFC in 2003, first in Washington, DC, then in Johannesburg, South Africa, and most recently in Maputo, Mozambique. At IFC, he has in particular been working on renewable energy PPP mandates, in hydro, solar, and wind power.

Prior to IFC, he worked for Brait Private Equity in Johannesburg, South Africa, and for the Economist Intelligence Unit in London, United Kingdom. Markus has obtained degrees in economics, business and international relations.

Scott Sandlin started his career with ExxonMobil in 2005 in Houston, Texas.  He has held a range of engineering, operations and senior leadership roles within the company in 9 locations, across the Drilling, Production and Joint Venture operated sectors of the business.

After several technical and leadership assignments with ExxonMobil in the United States, Australia, Nigeria, Turkey, Romania, Russia (Sakhalin Island and Moscow) and Newfoundland, Canada, Scott assumed the role of president of Hibernia Management and Development Company, operator of the Hibernia Platform in Newfoundland, Canada. 

Scott joined ExxonMobil PNG in 2020 as the General Manager of Operations for PNG LNG, and subsequently assumed the role of Senior VP and Executive Director of Production in 2021.  He is accountable for all aspects of the PNG LNG project, including operations, maintenance, logistics, and land and community affairs for all wells, gas and condensate conditioning, pipelines, LNG Plant, and marine/export shipping operations for LNG, condensate and naphtha to international markets, and domestic power and gas sales for local markets. 

Scott is blessed to have a wife of 15 years and 3 small children, ages 10, 6 and 5 years old.

Kasey Rudd spent her childhood in Port Moresby and later in life she returned as an adult, spending 4 years delivering Train the Trainer and Cert IV Training and Assessment for Morobe Mining Joint Venture and LNG plant PNG employees. During this period Kasey re-discovered her affection for PNG people and culture and developed a passion for building capacity and skills in PNG people. Accredited as an Approved Employer in 2017, Kasey’s organisation Powerpac has proudly provided Australian employment opportunities for over 3000 Pacific Island people. Meaningfully contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals through remittances and skills development, Powerpac has activity participated in goals No Poverty, Quality Education and Gender Equality. With a current workforce of 773, predominately, Melanesian Pacific Island workers, in Queensland , proudly 38.8% of the workforce is women. A legacy Kasey will forever be proud of participating in.

Peter Robinson is Strategy and Development Manager with PNG Forest Products Ltd responsible for the development and commercialization of the next generation of Engineered Wood Products for both export and domestic markets.

Before joining PNGFP in 2014, Peter worked in a variety of roles for Boral over two decades, specializing in R&D and manufacturing excellence in the wood products sector.

With an engineering and commercial background, Peter has contributed to National Australian and New Zealand standards development, together with development of state government regulations.

Peter holds a Bachelors of Engineering (Hons) from University of Queensland and Graduate Diploma of Management from Deakin University.

Scott has 20 years Recruitment experience leading international Search and Selection firms focused primarily on Mining, Utilities, Manufacturing, Oil and Gas sectors. He joined the recruitment industry after a 15-year period working in mining in both Australia and Papua New Guinea. His mining roles include an array of support, operational management and General Management positions. He has also had his own consultancy business and the focus for his consulting has been on the enhancement of Organisation and People performance. Scott commenced working in Papua New Guinea in 1978 joining the Public Services Commission as a Psychologist, after 5 years he joined Bougainville Copper Limited and after a further 5 years he joined Mount Isa Mines where he worked for 10 years.

Scott holds a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology and Applied Sociology and a Masters in Science in Industrial Psychology. Scott is a Fellow of the Recruitment Consulting Staffing Association, a Member of the Australian Psychological Society, a Registered Psychologist and Member of the Management Committee of the Australia Papua New Guinea Business Council.

Serving a family legacy of 57 years of Nation Building that began in the Bully Beef Club and the formative years, the economic and social landscape leadership in business and Politics in Papua New Guinea coupled with 30 years of experience through cross cultured environments within that time, John Pora brings to the table depth, agility and a vast network of relationships under a desire to impact experiences. A Coffee plantation owner, pioneer in Digital Platforming and e-commerce and appointed Chairman of the Small Medium Enterprise Corporation Board in December 2020, the family story continues to be written in service to our nation and people.

Mr Benny Popoitai is a career Central Banker serving almost 41 years at the Bank of Papua New Guinea, of which he served 15 years as Deputy Governor. He is from Wallis Island, East Sepik Province and is married with 4 children.

Mr Popoitai graduated with an Honors Degree in Economics at the University of Papua New Guinea in 1981. In September 2003, he was awarded a Diploma by the Australian Institute of Company Directors for completing the Australia International Company Directors Course.

He was a member of the Executive Committee of the South East Asian Central Banks (SEACEN) Training Institute based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia since 2006. A position he held until his term as Deputy Governor expired in 2016. This Executive Committee provided advice to the Board of SEACEN on all matters, including programmed content for strategic changes.

Prior to his appointment as Acting Governor of Bank of Papua New Guinea in December 2021, Mr Popoitai was the Director of Financial Analysis and Supervision Unit, (or FASU for short) within the Bank of PNG, he led the project team responsible for the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorist Financing reforms at Bank of PNG and was instrumental in negotiation for the Financial Intelligence Unit to be transferred from the Royal PNG Constabulary to Bank of PNG to enhance PNG's need to comply with the Financial Action Task Force standards (or international standards), in order to bring PNG out of the Grey List. Fasu is PNG's Financial Intelligence Unit.

Outside of work, Mr Popoitai is a member of th Borko Rotary club, a fellow member of the PNG Institute of Directors, Board Chairman of the Sir Buri Kidu Heart Institute - a Charity he has been working with for the last 16 years, Senior Vice President - Senior Vice President of PNG Golf Association and was the Board Chaiman of the National Soccer League of PNG from 2019 to 2021.

In 2001, Mr Popoitai was awarded a Member of the British Empire (MBE) for services to banking and finances.                 

An entrepreneur with a passion for creating platforms that empower other entrepreneurs into existence. Sylvia Pascoe is a justice warrior, equal opportunities advocate, owner of the 11 year old event management business Pascoe Promotions, founder of the Pom City Markets, Harbourside Night Markets, SME Elevate Series, winner of the 2011 Westpac Women in Business Young Entrepreneur award, Winner of the Young Director of the Year Award 2014 and currently a candidate for NCD Regional Governors seat in the current National General Elections.

Glen Liddell Mola is a graduate of Melbourne (MBBS 1970) and Sydney (DPH 1974) universities and a fellow of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of the UK and Australia-New Zealand. He has worked as a doctor in many provinces of Papua New Guinea (starting off as district medical officer at Kainantu in the Eastern Highland Province in 1972), and in a number of other developing countries in Asia, Africa and the Pacific. He has been a consultant to Ausaid-dfat, World Bank, UNICEF, WHO, UNFPA, Swedish Development Agency and UNHCR. He has been a lecturer at the School of Medicine and Health Sciences, UPNG since 1987, and was appointed Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1995: he is a senior clinical consultant at the Port Moresby General Hospital. He also advises the National Department of Health of Papua New Guinea on Reproductive Health matters.

Cameron Mitchell joined ANZ in March 2021 to manage the bank’s geopolitical risk function. In this role, he advises the senior management and coordinates the production of tailored geopolitical risk assessments of direct relevance to ANZ interests. He was previously HSBC’s Global Head of Geopolitical Risk.

Cameron is a former Australian public servant, where he worked in the Australian Intelligence Community. He provided strategic-level political risk advice and strategic intelligence assessments to senior Australian government officials. His analysis aided in the development of three Australian Defence White Papers.

A former Australian Defence Force Reserve Officer, Cameron also deployed on military operations to Iraq and Afghanistan. He provided intelligence support to operational‑level commanders and supported national-level agencies from within the Middle East Theatre or Operations.

Cameron was born in Surrey, UK and grew up in Nigeria and Brunei before completing secondary school in Australia. He has completed a Master of Studies in International Relations at the University of Cambridge, a Master of Arts by research in Political Science from the University of New South Wales, and a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Political Science and History from the University of Sydney.

He is the author of articles and a book about the Russian defence industry, published through the UK International Institute for Strategic Studies and the Australian Strategic and Defence Studies Centre.

Vaughan is a Partner and Practice Group Leader for Corrs Chambers Westgarth.

Vaughan is a highly experienced projects and transactions lawyer with a focus on natural resources and infrastructure, particularly in Papua New Guinea.

He has been described as having a 'first class commercial approach' and has been consistently ranked as a tier 1 leading individual in Chambers Global since 2009. He has worked on some of the world’s largest and most complex natural resources projects and transactions.

Vaughan is admitted to practice in Papua New Guinea, Victoria, Queensland and Western Australia, and in the High Court of Australia.

Vaughan is a Vice-President of the Australia Papua New Guinea Business Council Management Committee.

Ian McNiven is Professor of Indigenous Archaeology in Monash Indigenous Studies Centre at Monash University in Melbourne. He is also a Chief Investigator in the ARC Centre of Excellence for Australian Biodiversity and Heritage. Ian specialises in the archaeology of Indigenous societies, with major research interests in island societies of Torres Strait and the Queensland coast, and coastal communities of southern New Guinea. He has held academic positions at the University of Queensland and The University of Melbourne, and visiting research fellowships at Cambridge University and Oxford University. Ian is an elected Fellow of the Royal Anthropological Institute and the Australian Academy of the Humanities. Last year, Ian was recipient of the Australian Archaeological Association’s Rhys Jones Award for Outstanding Contributions to Australian Archaeology.

Augustine Sanga Mano has been Managing Director and CEO of Mineral Resources Development Company (MRDC) since March 2008. He holds Degrees in Economics and Arts (Environmental Science) for the University of Papua New Guinea, and a Master of Science Degree in Petroleum Economics from the Dundee University, Scotland. Mr Mano serves as Director on the boards of MRDC and its 16 subsidiary companies. He is also chairman of Star Mountains Plaza Ltd (Hilton), the Pearl Resort & Spa in Fiji, The Taumeasina Resort in Samoa, PNG Air, and Ok Tedi Mining Limited. Until recently, he served on the board of Hevilift PNG, Bank South Pacific, and Dirio Gas and Power Ltd. Mr Mano currently serves as a member of the State Negotiating Team for both mining and petroleum projects.

Adam has +15 years’ experience in business governance, strategy execution, compliance, and operations, with current director roles with Frontier Equities and Kramer Ausenco, PNG’s first indigenous infrastructure consultancy business with over 130 personnel across 7 countries. Adam has strong hands-on experience in business operations, client relationship management, and project delivery, having successfully delivered buildings and resource sector infrastructure with Kramer Ausenco, investment advisory services with Frontier Equities in PNG and Solomon Islands, as well as integrated infrastructure feasibility studies across both entities. Adam also leads Resources, Power & Industrial portfolios across Kramer Ausenco and Frontier Equities. He holds a B. Engineering and an MBA from the University of Queensland, and a graduate certificate in Applied Finance from Queensland University of Technology. He is a Member of Institute of Engineers Australia (IEA), IEPNG, PNG Registered Engineer, MIEAust, PNGID and MAICD.

Stanley joined Newcrest in 2018 as the Senior Manager – Government Relations & PNG Country Office for Newcrest. He was appointed as the Country Manager in May 2019.  

Before joining Newcrest, Stanley held similar senior roles with Nautilus Minerals and Morobe Mining JV and has extensive experience in the resources sector in PNG.

Stanley has in-dept skills and background in Government and Regulatory Affairs, Community Relations & Social Performance functions, security & intelligence, emergency, and risk management.

Stanley sits on few Peak Bodies as Executive Committee Member, including the Australian PNG Business Council.

Fego Kiniafa is currently employed as Chief Executive Officer at the PNG Ports Corporation and has been in the role since April 2019. Fego has also spent time as Chief Commercial Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Commercial Manager over a period of 10 years from 2009 to 2017. Fego’s professional experience includes over 19 years of working in government and semi government organisations starting as an economist with the Department of Treasury’s Structural Policy and Investments Division.

Fego joined the ICCC in November 2003 as a pioneer member during which time he gained deep insight into competition policy, utility infrastructure regulation and design of policy and reform on telecommunications, electricity, water and sanitation industries and the maritime transport industries. During his career at the ICCC Fego developed a deep understanding and knowledge of financial analysis, pricing and regulatory issues, price structuring, competitive market assessments, business strategy, economic and financial project appraisal, infrastructure financing through public private partnerships, developing project business cases and terms of references. 

Fego’s current responsibilities as CEO of PNG Ports is to provide strategic leadership of the organisation in close liaison and consultation with the Board and KCH to drive the business of PNG Ports. Fego is currently accountable to the Board of PNG Ports and is expected to provide the requisite leadership in leading and directing the business of PNG Ports to drive results and targets set by the National Government through the shareholder KCH.

 Fego is a professional member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the PNG Institute of Directors. Fego sits on the Board of the PNG National Maritime Safety Authority as Deputy Chairman and also serves as the Chairman of the Eastern Highlands Provincial Health Authority.

MR STAN JOYCE 

Stan Joyce has been working in Papua New Guinea since 1980, most recently as Managing Director of SP Brewery until 2019. Stan’s Personal Accomplishments include the Companion of the Star of Melanesia (CSM), 2012 for services to the business community and sport, and the Queen Elizabeth 11 60th Anniversary Medal (2013) for services to the Port Moresby Business Community. Stan has held Directorships as Chairman Westpac Bank (PNG) Limited, Chairman City Pharmacy Limited (CPL PomSX), Chairman Mainland Holdings Pty Ltd, Board Member South Pacific Brewery Limited, Board Member AGMARK. Stan’s Business Networking include Director PNG Business Council, Fellow PNG Institute of Company Directors, Member Australian Institute of Company Directors (GMAICD), Honorary Consul (PNG) for Kingdom of Netherlands, Ambassador – Badilli Networking Club. Stan’s employment history spans more than four decades in Papua New Guinea, and he is currently providing general consultancy services through his own company, Joyce & Co.

Rob Jauncey is the Chief Investment Officer for the Australian Infrastructure Financing Facility for the Pacific (AIFFP).  Since being established in mid-2019, AIFFP has now signed 12 projects in 9 countries valued at over A$1.2 billion.  Prior to joining AIFFP, Rob spent 20 years with the Asian Development Bank and World Bank, including as ADB’s Regional Director for the South Pacific (20014-2018) and as the World Bank’s Regional Coordinator for the Pacific (2009-2014).  In these roles, Rob was involved in mobilizing almost A$2 billion in new financing for the Pacific, including for major infrastructure projects such as the South Tarawa road in Kiribati, the Avatiu port in Cook Islands, ICT cables to Samoa and Tonga, airport runway construction and rehabilitation in several countries, and the construction of over 30 MW of renewable energy generation.

Dr Stephen Howes is Professor of Economics at the Australian National University and Director of the Development Policy Centre. 

Stephen is also the Chair of Femili PNG, that runs a Case Management Centre (CMC) to assist survivors of family and sexual violence to access the services they need. He is also the Director of the Development Policy Centre and Professor of Economics at the Australian National University.

Danielle is the First Assistant Secretary, Labour and Connectivity Division within the Office of the Pacific. Danielle has over two decades of experience in Government leading policy and program delivery in the Indo-Pacific region, with 9 years overseas working with our nearest neighbours - Timor-Leste, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea.

Danielle previously worked for Price Waterhouse Coopers (Sydney) and holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Masters of International Relations and a Masters of Economics.

Gil leads Deloitte’s advisory practice in PNG. He has particular expertise with transformation and restructuring, having been involved with many of PNG’s largest public sector reform programs and private sector turnarounds.

Over the last several years Gil has worked extensively in the PNG financial services sector, with a particular focus on strategy and capability uplift.

Gil holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce from Monash University.

Ernie Gangloff is the Managing Director, Gangloff Consulting Limited. Ernie retired as a Partner with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu on the 24 May 2013 where he was a Partner in the Risk and Consulting Services Division. Ernie was the first PNG Citizen Partner appointed by Deloitte Australia.
Ernie is an Adjunct Professor of Accounting appointed by the School of Business and Public Policy, University of Papua New Guinea.

Brett Darley PRESIDENT UPSTREAM OIL AND GAS

Brett joined Santos in December 2018. Mr Darley previously led the Offshore Operating Division as Executive Vice President Offshore Oil and Gas.
He has over 30 years of experience in the upstream oil and gas industry, both in Australia and overseas, with technical, operational, commercial and management experience across varied assets, onshore and offshore. Before moving to Santos, Brett held senior leadership roles including Chief Executive Officer of Quadrant Energy, Managing Director and Region Vice President for Apache Energy Limited, Vice President of Drilling and Completions at Woodside and Drilling Manager at Santos.
Brett holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from the University of Queensland and is a Chartered Engineer. He is a current member of the Curtin Business School Advisory Council and an elected member of the General Council of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of WA.

Professor Satish Chand is currently the Professor of Economics in the School of Business at the University of New South Wales and based at the Australian Defence Force Academy in Canberra. He is a Non-resident Fellow at the Centre for Global Development in Washington DC, a Research Associate of the National Research Institute in Papua New Guinea, and an Adjunct Professor at the Crawford School of Economics and Government at the Australian National University (ANU). Before joining UNSW, Chand worked for the Australian Commonwealth Treasury and the Australian Taxation Office. Chand has been researching on migration, fiscal decentralisation, and education policy within the context of island nations of Pacific. He has during this period consulted for the Asian Development Bank, the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID), The Pacific Island Forum Secretariat, The World Bank, and the governments of Australia, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, the Republic of Marshall Islands, and Vanuatu. Chand is the author, co-author, and editor of numerous publications.

Maurice Brownjohn OBE; Originally  working in PNG coastal  fisheries development. In  1987 established a major net rigging company supplying PNG and the region,  also  pioneered  sashimi tuna long line fishing operations in PNG.  In 1991 established the PNG fishing Industry association, [FIA] to represent industry, and later PITIA a regional tuna industry body. Founding director of NFA in 1995  and held many  high profile rolls in both PNG private and public sector.

Since January 2010, Maurice has taken on the regional role as Commercial Manager to the Parties of the Nauru Agreement (PNA) Office, based in Majuro, RMI. Responsible for over  50% of the world’s Skipjack tuna catch.

PNG Citizen since 1989,  and awarded an OBE for services to the PNG fishing industry in 1998.  

Maurice, is well known globally being at the forefront of sustainable  fishery development,  investment, product branding, marketing  and  certification,  in PNG for over 4 decades.

Susan Bodell is the Assistant Secretary Indo-Pacific Enhanced Engagement in the International Policy Division. Her Branch is responsible for providing strategic direction, policy oversight and strategic coordination of the implementation of Defence’s Indo-Pacific enhanced engagement activities and managing the Pacific Maritime Security Program (PMSP). Ms Bodell commenced in this role in February 2019. Prior to taking up her current position she was Assistant Secretary South-East Asia and the Pacific in the Defence Intelligence Organisation.

Ms Bodell has worked in the Department of Defence since 2010. She entered the Department as Director North and South Asia in the International Policy Division where she managed Australia’s defence relations with China, India, Japan, the Republic of Korea and Sri Lanka.

Before commencing with Defence, Ms Bodell was Director International Strategy at the Australian Customs and Border Protection Service. Ms Bodell also served for a number of years at the Australian Attorney-General’s Department in various roles including Director Pacific Section, Director International Legal Cooperation, Director APEC Taskforce and Assistant Director Counter-terrorism Strategic Policy Unit. She has also worked in border control and compliance at the then Department of Immigration and Citizenship.

Overseas, Ms Bodell served as the Head of Secretariat to the Pacific Immigration Directors Conference Secretariat (2002-04) in Suva, Fiji. Prior to working in the Pacific, she held various roles in the New Zealand Immigration Service.

Ms Bodell studied at the Australian National University Strategic Studies Centre and was awarded a Master of Strategic Affairs. She attended the Institute of Legal Professionals at the University of Victoria, New Zealand and is admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor in the New Zealand High Court and as a legal practitioner in the Supreme Court of the Australian Capital Territory. She holds Bachelor of Law (LLB) and Bachelor of Arts (Political Science) degrees from the University of Canterbury and spent a year abroad studying at the University of California, Irvine.

Paul Barker, from the UK, came to PNG in January 1978 and was based in the Highlands for five years with the Primary Industry Department. He headed the economics, marketing and statistics Branch of the Primary Industry Dept until 1988, representing government on various agricultural CSA and SOE boards during the 1980s. In 1988 he was appointed special adviser in the Prime Minister’s Dept., addressing particularly the economic sector and various governance issues, a post filled for 16 years until mid-2004, then becoming technical adviser with the European Delegation in the Solomon Islands until January 2006 to help develop and manage the major EU-funded post-conflict programmes to Solomon Islands. He has been Executive Director of the Institute of National Affairs since January 2006. He has had a long involvement with various cultural and civil society organisations, including chairing the National Cultural Commission from 1994-2004 and the Research and Conservation Foundation of PNG, and been a member of various business committees and representative and consultative bodies (including Business Council of PNG and Rural Industries Council) for many years, and chairing and membership of various technical and advisory panels, including for donor funding of agricultural projects.

Howard Bamsey is Chair of the Global Water Partnership and Honorary Professor in the School of Regulation and Global Governance at the Australian National University. He is member of the Board of the Climate Policy Initiative. He was previously Executive Director at the Green Climate Fund and Director General of the Global Green Growth Institute. He has served as Senior Adviser on Sustainable Development to the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and Special Adviser on Green Growth to AusAID. Earlier he was Australia’s Special Envoy on Climate Change, a Deputy Secretary in the Australian Public Service and CEO of the Australian Greenhouse Office. He held several appointments at ambassadorial level in the Australian foreign service. Bamsey was educated at the University of Queensland and the Harvard Business School.
